Opening Hearts,
Minds and Doors
Millsaps is proud to be a United Methodist College: The Methodists
of MS have been partners with Millsaps since its beginning in
1890. When Major Millsaps challenged the Church to match his $50,000
to found the college, Bishop Charles Galloway led the efforts
to meet that challenge. The Church has faithfully supported the
college by sending students, providing leadership, and continuing
its support with scholarships funded each year by the apportionment.
"Millsaps is truly blessed by its ongoing relationship
with The United Methodist Church."
President Frances Lucas
